Freedom Ministries is involved in a number of activities right now both internally and in the community. Our weekly projects include:
- Intercession prayer where we have a committed group of intercessors interceding for the church, community, leaders, town and our country.
- Bible studies providing in-depth insights into God’s Word – chapter by chapter .
- Cell groups where we meet midweek to encourage and uplift each other through God’s Word.
- “The Spot” which provides an alternative for the youth of our community on a Friday Night to come and participate in sporting activities, such as rugby, soccer and volley ball. A safe environment is provided where the youth can hang out and hopefully through our actions, they will come to know Jesus our Lord and Savior.
Our biggest community project is our evangelical outreach through the Good News Project, run by DaNéll Smith. GNP is currently busy with an evangelical programme in Makgolokoeng, a rural village situated some 18kms outside of Harrismith. This village consists of approximately 1800 households comprising of around 10000 people. We have seen many lives changed and miracles happen in Makgolokoeng. We have been active with this project since September 2007 and have initiated Bible studies, prayer meetings, Sunday worship and have introduced income generating projects such as veggie tunnels to assist the community.
We are partnering with an organization called Tshwaranang, an NPO/PBO organization to help uplift the community through Government funding and private donors.
We have also started to minister bi-monthly to the staff of Qwantani holiday resort located about 40 kms from Harrismith.
The main focus of all our projects and activities is to train and raise up Godly people to infiltrate and change South Africa one soul at a time.
